Assignment - may 18th

1.I think that a digital artist needs to be creative, unique, and innovate. He or she must be good with design and an expert at making things look good together (harmony). Being creative and unique is important because they have to make things work out in order to get their final image or design. Digital artists need to be innovate by using whatever materials they have so that they can get their job done perfectly and efficiently.
2.Three photoshop tools or items that were used in the videos are: hue/saturation, levels, and various types of glow filters.

Marketing Coordinator – promotes a business, its company name, products, and services
3D artist – person who works with 3D graphics in order to produce unique and attractive 3D rendering or 3D animation by adding his or her own touch to it
Art Director – in charge of the artistic features to a production (costumes, scenery, lighting, etc.)
Stunt Coordinator – hired to perform stunts as stunt 'doubles'
Creative Director – oversees all aspects of product design
Director – a person who is in charge of production and he/she oversees all aspects of a movie

Producer – a person who is responsible for the financial and managerial aspects of making a  movie
Sound Designer – someone who works with various types of sounds in order to manipulate audio elements to achieve a desired effect or soundtrack
Designer – person who plans the form, look, or workings of something before it is built, typically by drawing it out first
Editor – person who is in charge of final content

Time shift tool: can move your music left or right on the timeline
Selection tool: to mark things and use them
Envelope tool: can lengthen or shorten
Draw tool: fine editing

IPOD

  1. Put all your layers into one folder and call it "iPod".
  2. Make two duplicates of that folder [drop shadow & shadow].
  3. Merge the layers.
  4. Transform it and flip vertically.
  5. Put a mask on your reflection.
  6. Use gradient tool or paint brush to create a reflection.
  7. Take shadow and ctrl+click on your layer icon.
  8. Edit > Fill with black
  9. Deselect and crush the shadow.
  10. Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Tools of Composition

Hierarchy - Relative importance of elements (most important to least important)
Focal Point - The strongest, most compelling element in a design
Eye Path - Guide the viewer's eye through the image
Proportion - Size of elements in relative to one another
Visual Weight - Equals size + value (the lightness or darkness of a colour)
Type As A Virtual Element - Blocks of type as having shape and weight like photos and illustrations
Alignment (Grid) - Sense of visual order and rhythm. Set of guidelines for the user to align and repeat elements within space.
